Over the past 25 years his service as a fiduciary and the development of Blue Chip Partners has occurred right in step with my own financial needs. I have worked with him personally and have been introduced to his stellar team which includes Naoko McKelvey. As a Blue Chip Partner client, I continue to receive the personalized attention as if it were the year 2000. A familiar voice (usually Georgia) answers the phone but if another team member answers the phone, they know who you are! There is never a recording or a series of prompts to reach a human! Their personal attention continues to amaze me despite their growth and expansion of service lines. I recommend Blue Chip Partners including Blue Chip Tax and Estate Planning for comprehensive financial, tax management, and estate planning without hesitation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Robert Steinberg and I have been together longer than most marriages. I was one of his first clients and for a while his largest. I brought him my mother (who always embarrassingly oohed over his fresh, rosy complexion), my husband, my sister, business partner and later on my son and daughter. He took over my cluttered financial life that lived in boxes of unopened envelopes. He followed my investment preferences: women-led businesses and no tobacco companies. He also understood and advised me on my business finances. As Blue Chip grew, I was no longer his largest customer. But I have never felt second class. Especially since he is always immediately available even though the incredibly responsive Naoko McKelvey has taken over my day to day. She is a very successful successor to Robert and is especially familiar with women’s financial needs and issues. She has also helped me define and execute my charitable goals. I whole heartedly and enthusiastically recommend Blue Chip, Robert and Naoko!

They followed through making sure all steps and services were met with ease. Whew, for my sake. I moved from Mi., I bought a Condo in Fl. I could not have done it without them. For a variety of reasons, neither my wife nor I was not satisfied with our financial advisors until we landed at Blue Chip Partners. Now, having been a client of the firm for several years, we couldn't be happier. There are several reasons for this. First, my wife and I trust -- implicitly -- each and every member of the Blue Chip team, including those with whom we work most closely -- Robert Steinberg, Naoko McKelvey, and Adam Larkin. They speak to us openly, candidly, and knowledgeably about risks, fees, and costs. Second, we like the philosophy that undergirds Blue Chip's investment strategies: buying into well-established, dividend-generating stocks (whose payments increase annually). Lots of benchmark beating -- but no swinging for the fences and lots of downside protection. Third, the team is incredibly responsive and timely helps out in a variety of ways beyond managing investments. For example, it's there for us when we need to determine what employee benefit packages we should select (even when an advisor is on vacation). The Blue Chip team seamlessly facilitates payments, gives good advice on many financial decisions unrelated to our portfolio, performs and updates sophisticated financial modeling, has a great portal, and generates informative and easy-to-understand investment analytics. Fourth, and finally, everyone at Blue Chip is super friendly. It's just an all-round pleasure to work with the team there.

It's been a tricky year for investing but they've done a good job. Their podcasts are done professionally, giving insights into why they manage our funds the way they do. The Schwab website and the BCP portal provide useful tools for tracking portfolio performance. Most importantly, it has been a pleasure to work with our advisor, Naoko McKelvey. About Naoko

Naoko is Senior Financial Advisor at Blue Chip Partners.

Naoko is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation.

Prior to joining Blue Chip Partners in 2019, Naoko spent over 14 years as an advisor at another local RIA firm where she also served as Chief Compliance Officer.

Naoko graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Illinois State University, where she was a four-year member of the varsity tennis team. She obtained her M.B.A. from Walsh College.

Naoko enjoys playing competitive tennis, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her family and friends. Naoko is married to her college sweetheart Mark, and they have one daughter, Miya.

If you had to be handcuffed to one person for a month, who would it be?

My sister, because we would entertain each other and probably be laughing the entire time. She is my BFF.

What do you do to relax?

I love to play competitive tennis (and win) and make to-do lists or packing lists.

If you could be a professional in any sport, what would it be?

Pro tennis player. I’ve played competitive since age 5. My mom always thought I would become a pro, but having fun in college and meeting my husband became more fun and important!
