Fortune 500 CEOs Comment on COVID Aftermath

From the desk of Omar Ezz, CFP®

While meaningful economic data has been published over the past few weeks, sentiment among business leaders can provide valuable insights for investors into the long-term ramifications of the current pandemic. CEOs of the Fortune 500 were surveyed in the last two weeks of April. Some of the more interesting results include: 58% believe economic activity will not return to pre-pandemic levels until Q1 of 2022, 52% said business travel (an important source of profit for the travel industry) will never return to pre-pandemic levels, and 75% believe the pandemic will accelerate the technological transformation of their companies.
