What do you do to relax?
- My absolute favorite thing to do to relax is to hop in the sauna, throw on a podcast (usually Joe Rogan), do a little stretching, and finish off with a little meditation. Before you know it, an hour has flown by and you feel like a million bucks!
What event in your life was most impactful to you?
- One of the most impactful events of my life was my first U of M wrestling team practice. It was a 6:00AM morning track run in what started as light rain, but quickly turned to a downpour (mind you – it was October and already extremely cold out). After the multiple back-to-back mile runs along with sprints up and down the field, I quickly realized being part of a D1 team wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. It would require immense discipline, dedication, and work ethic. It helped me realize that in order to achieve big goals, I’d have to be willing to commit, sacrifice, and endure day-in and day-out. Nothing worth having comes easy!
What is the best reward anybody can give you?
- The best reward anybody can give you is their belief in you. It’s virtually impossible to fail when others see what you’re capable of and support you along the way to accomplishing your goals. I know from personal experience I wouldn’t have achieved nearly as much as I have without the belief and support from family, friends, and mentors.
